On June 17, 2026, Dat Phuong Group and the Management Board of the Cu Lao Cham – Hoi An World Biosphere Reserve officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and announced the launch of the “1 Billion Green” Campaign.

The initiative aims to promote nature conservation and sustainable development in Vietnam’s central coastal region.

The event marks the beginning of a long-term partnership between the business community and a heritage ecosystem, where natural, cultural, and community values are preserved and enhanced for future generations.

Joining Hands for Conservation – An Essential Path Forward

Recognized by UNESCO in 2009, the Cu Lao Cham – Hoi An World Biosphere Reserve is one of Vietnam’s most unique ecological regions, renowned for its rich biodiversity and distinctive cultural heritage. However, increasing impacts from climate change, tourism growth, and urbanization are creating mounting challenges for conservation efforts, requiring greater participation from all sectors of society.

As an enterprise with many years of investment and development in Quang Nam and Da Nang, Dat Phuong Group has contributed to numerous infrastructure, urban development, and tourism projects, including Cua Dai Bridge, the Cua Dai coastal protection project, Vo Chi Cong coastal road, and the Casamia ecological urban developments. Throughout its journey, the Group has remained committed to fulfilling its social and environmental responsibilities through practical and meaningful actions.

Building on this commitment, Dat Phuong has entered into a partnership with the Management Board of the Cu Lao Cham – Hoi An World Biosphere Reserve for the 2026–2030 period, supporting ecosystem conservation and restoration initiatives while promoting environmentally responsible lifestyles within the community.

“1 Billion Green” – Turning Commitment into Action

At the event, the “1 Billion Green” Campaign was officially launched with a commitment from Dat Phuong Group to provide resources worth VND 1 billion for tree planting, forest restoration, and biodiversity conservation activities within the biosphere reserve.

Beyond tree planting, the program is designed with a long-term and science-based approach. Native species will be carefully selected, planted in appropriate locations, and monitored throughout their growth cycle to ensure effective and sustainable ecosystem restoration.

Therefore, “1 Billion Green” represents more than a financial commitment; it is a message about responsibility, awareness, and concrete action for the environment.

As part of the partnership, communication and educational activities highlighting nature conservation and the ecological values of the Cu Lao Cham – Hoi An Biosphere Reserve will also be integrated into projects invested in and operated by Dat Phuong Group, ranging from urban developments to hotels and resorts. Through these efforts, the message of sustainable living will continue to reach customers, partners, and the wider community.

Towards a Harmonious and Sustainable Future

The “1 Billion Green” Campaign is expected to serve as a platform that encourages greater participation from organizations, businesses, and individuals in protecting the environment and preserving natural ecosystems.

In a rapidly changing world, sustainable development is no longer a choice—it is an inevitable path forward. Along this journey, collaboration between businesses and nature is the key to creating lasting value.

As shared by Mr. Luong Minh Tuan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dat Phuong Group, during the event, the future of forests, ecosystems, and communities cannot be built on promises alone—it must begin with tangible actions taken today.
